4-H Horse Project Meetings:

December 29, 2022

*On Thursday, December 29, from 1:00-3:00 pm Horse Project members are invited to the Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg to make horse treats.  The following recipes will be used if you would like to bring an ingredient.  https://www.saddlebox.net/homemade-horse-treats/

January 29, 2023

**Meeting will take place at Hi-View Farm at 1:30 pm where Leigh Lierman will discuss tack for show day.  Bring your horse’s bridle!!

February 26, 2023

***Mustang Challenges & Horsemanship Presentation & Demonstration presented by Lafayette County’s own, Aly Peterson ~ Hi-View Farm at 1:00 pm (weather permitting). *Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, especially for the demonstration part.*

March 26, 2023

****English Riding Disciplines (including cross country, dressage, and hunter/jumper) Presentation by Molly Doan, Lafayette County Horse Project Alumni ~ Hi-View Farm at 1:30 p.m.  Molly will also introduce tack and expectations for English riding, so if your youth are interested this is the clinic to attend.  Molly can also answer questions about competition riding.

 

4-H Horse Project Registration Paperwork

Reminder: In order to qualify for the Fair Horse Show, youth need to be signed up for the 4-H Horse Project, as well as attend 3 Horse Project meetings (2 without a horse and 1 with a horse, once warmer weather is here).  Registration paperwork needs to be completed by April 30, 2023.  If you have any questions, please contact Katrina Gleason, 4-H Horse Project Leader, at (608)482-3291 or ck_gleason@hotmail.com

Attached is a link that will lead you to a Google Form for completion of registration!
This form must be filed by April 30th! 
Failure to complete this form will eliminate the animal from showing in the 4-H Youth Horse Show during the Fair.
