Producing Quality Beef (PQB) workshop
What physical traits enhance or detract fed cattle values? Why do some fed cattle sell for more or less than others? What opportunities did the latest beef quality audit find? These topics and more will be the focus of PQB workshops. Blooming Livestock Exchange will host a workshop in southwest Wisconsin on February 12, 2025.

Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) certification
The dates have been scheduled for Grant, Green, Iowa, and Lafayette Counties!
BQA trains farmers on best-practice cattle management techniques to ensure animals and the environment are cared for within a standard set of guidelines across the U.S. beef industry.

Planning Emergency Livestock Transport Response (PELTR)
This training is intended to help improve local response to livestock transportation crashes. Topics covered in the course include livestock behavior in times of stress; animal handling, movement, and containment; biosecurity issues; extrication of animals from trailers; euthanasia decision-making process; and handling moralities. The goal is for participants to share what they learn during the course with their local planning teams.
Fire/EMS/Law Enforcement/State Patrol/Dispatchers/County Highway and Emergency Management, Public Health and Safety communicators, Governmental Administrators, and Veterinarians are all encouraged to attend.
This course is FREE and is a combination of virtual sessions and an in-person session. Online Registration is REQUIRED by September 9th as class size is limited.
