USDA Dairy Margin Coverage Program Update
The DMC program is designed as a risk management program, offering protection to dairy producers when the difference between the all-milk price and the average feed price (the margin) falls below a certain dollar amount selected by the producer. The deadline to apply for this program is April 29, 2024. More information can be found at: https://go.wisc.edu/v7957z.Polzin will cover what a producer needs to know for the 2024 DMC sign-up. He will also be discussing changed to the program that could affect current and previous years’ coverage from the program.
