2019 Snowmobile Safety Courses

2019 snowmobile safety courses have officially been set up with the DNR, Grant County Game Warden, Southwest Technical College, Nick’s Powersports and UW-Extension! 

The snowmobile safety class will be held at Nick’s Powersports, Dickeyville, WI. The course will be on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 12:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Please remember to bring two writing utensils and the $10 fee. The Kieler/Dickeyville snowmobile clubs will provide a meal, please bring your own meal if you prefer. I will be ready for registrations at about noon and we will get started promptly at 12:30 pm. Upon completion of the course, I submit names of student who compete the course and one payment for everyone to the WI DNR.

Our local DNR Warden will talk with us shortly after our meal. Students will be given the test at approximately 6:30 pm. They may be done prior to 7:30 pm. Students will be given a temporary certificate upon completion. Students must attend 100% of the course to receive the safety certificate. Parents/guardians are welcome to stay, but it is not required.

*Optional pre-registration will take place at the Grant County UW-Extension Office on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm for students to pick up packet in advance and pay the $10 fee. This pre-registration is not required and no lessons will be taught.
